This Carrera hex 1-inch marble mosaic is even better in person than it looks in the photo. I was pleasantly surprised. It's pretty and the honed surface is satiny soft. I ordered a full square foot piece rather than a smaller sample so I could see the variability in the color. It was beautiful, but a little whiter than the photo. Ultimately, although I liked it, I bought pure Carrera White from a local dealer (which is actually a bit grayer) and spent about the same, although I couldn't get honed at this price. This vendor did not offer Carrera White hex. This sample appears to be more like a Carrera Arabescato. If you like Carrera Arabescato, you may love this -- the price was great and it came well packed. I had been worried about buying marble online because of the possibility of it being damaged in transit, but the one square foot piece was individually wrapped in a taped plastic envelope. If they package each piece separately for a large order, it should be undamaged, but check with the company to see how it comes. One thing is that although they fedex the sample order, you may have to pick up a larger order at some local shipping depot that they determine.

The marble is fine, but I paid for a 12X12" sheet (and got a bill stating that the sheet was 12X12") to judge the quality before buying, and got a 5X6" sheet. They sent a separate letter entitled "Why I only received a small sample when I purchased a full sheet?" Answer- to keep down shipping costs. But I can get an extra full sheet when I order more if I call them before I place the order!

Great product!!!! Beautiful tile came shipped perfect not a broken one in the box!!! It is a bit whiter than the pic...The quality is superb!!! Great tile attached firmly to the mesh backing and all tiles uniform and spaced evenly on each sheet.

The tile is gorgeous. It is NOT carrara. I did so many searches for carrara and this came up so I ordered it, but regardless, I wouldn't know the difference and it's beautiful. I like the honed finish as well. The sample I got looked a little different from the final tiles. There are quite a few dark, almost black pieces in the final order. I had two sample sheets and no dark tiles were present. I realize that's the nature of the game with marble, but with one or dark tiles in every sheet of the order, one would think it would have shown up in the samples.
Word of warning. This was the first time I've worked with marble. There was definitely yellowing after installation which can come from several different things. I used white thinset but I'm guessing the grout did it. I used gray Laticrete. I did NOT seal the tile before grouting, which may have helped. Or it just sucked up iron from the water in the thinset.
